Employment Opportunities

Last Updated October 20, 2009

Frontier Lodge is a great place to work. Not only will you gain valuable experience, make new friends and be part of an incredible staff team, but you will have a significant ministry as well.  Please note that we are a Christian camp and that we expect every staff to fully identify with our mission "to use God's Wilderness to Reach, Teach and Train Youth and Adults for Jesus Christ". A living relationship with Jesus Christ, a love for God and our campers is therefore a prerequisite.

We are currently seeking candidates for the following positions:

Food Service Manager
We are looking for a person over 18 years old with a desire to serve the Lord in the kitchen. At least one year of experience in a commercial or camp kitchen would be beneficial. Enthusiasm and motivation to work in a unique Christian ministry are also important. The Food Service Manager will be responsible for the weekly menu planning, ordering food and purchasing kitchen supplies, preparing meals, training and supervising other kitchen staff and ensuring that all food preparation and work areas comply with established Health Department regulations.

Other Requirements:
- Current "Standard First Aid" and "CPR-C" training
- a minimum commitment of one year

At this point we are only able to pay a small salary. Room and board are provided. We ask full-time staff to raise additional support, and we will do what we can to help you with that.

Spring/Summer Program Staff
We are looking for males and females who are 18 years and up who desire to be used by God in an adventure-based ministry. Applicants must have a desire to spread the Gospel through a variety of different methods from informal teachable moments to short morning and evening devotions for campers to lifestyle evangelism. Program staff will be involved in leading cabin groups and day programming, as well as rotations in the kitchen, maintenance, and/or the camp office for short periods of time. We need staff for both the spring and summer seasons. Generally the spring term is school groups and in the summer it is mainly our own camps and youth groups that are coming to Frontier Lodge. A mandatory staff training is provided. Spring Staff Training: April 26 - 30, 2010; Summer Staff Training: June 27 - July 2, 2010.

Application deadlines are April 9, 2010 for spring staff and June 4, 2010 for summer staff.

Other Requirements:
- Current “Standard First Aid” and “CPR-C” training
- a minimum commitment of two months
- attendance at Staff Training

At this point we are unable to pay spring and summer staff but we do provide room and board. You are encouraged to raise support, and we will do what we can to help you with that.
