Frontier Lodge is a great place to work. Not only will you gain valuable experience, make new friends and be part of an incredible staff team, but you will have a significant ministry as well.  Please note that we are a Christian camp and that we expect every staff to fully identify with our mission "to use God's Wilderness to Reach, Teach and Train Youth and Adults for Jesus Christ". A living relationship with Jesus Christ, a love for God and our campers is therefore a prerequisite.

We are currently seeking candidates for the following positions:

 

 

Volunteer Cabin Leader

Has your life been impacted by Frontier Lodge in the past? Are you passionate about reaching youth for Jesus Christ using Christ-centred outdoor adventure? If this is you, would you consider coming back to Frontier Lodge for a week or two this summer and continue the impact by leading a group of campers? We are seeking out individuals with experience here at Frontier to come back a serve on a short term basis during the summer.

- Current "Standard First Aid" (16hr) and "CPR-C" training certificate
- 18 years of age or older
- Short term commitment of a week or two

Cabin Leader/Summer Support Staff

We are looking for males and females who are 18 years and up who desire to be used by God in an adventure-based ministry. Applicants must have a desire to spread the Gospel through a variety of different methods from informal teachable moments to short morning and evening devotions for campers to lifestyle evangelism. Cabin leaders will be responsible for leading a cabin of campers for a week at a time throughout the summer. Other support duties in this role include working in the kitchen, cleaning and helping out with site maintenance.

Other Requirements:

- Current "Standard First Aid" (16hr) and "CPR-C" training certificate
- A commitment of two months
- Attendance at Summer Staff Training June 27 to July 1, 2016

Compensation for this role consists of room and board during your time here. Many of our staff members, especially the long term ones raise support, and we would be happy to help you get started with that if needed.

Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a responsible person, who is 18 years or older, to fulfill the duties of a Kitchen Assistant, which is a year-round or short term position. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager the Kitchen Assistant would be responsible for:

- Preparing meals
- Assisting with menu planning and food ordering
- Maintaining a high standard of food quality and kitchen cleanliness

The following would be beneficial in applying for this position:

- A servant heart and passion for spreading the Good News
- A desire to serve others through food preparation

Food and accommodation will be available on-site, and a living allowance will be provided. Salary will be funded on a missionary support basis, and will require the development of a support team.

Office Assistant/Housekeeper

We are looking for a responsible individual with a heart for serving the Lord, and a passion for organization and administration. The individual we are seeking would be hired to work in the office with our Business Manager and to organize the cleaning  of our facilites. This individual's responsibilities could include: program registrations, newsletter distribution, contact management, answering phones, design work, housekeeping duties, etc.

The following would be beneficial in applying for this position: strong communication skills, flexibility, independence and time management skills.

Other Requirements:

- Current Emergency First Aid certification (8 hrs)

Food and accommodation will be available on-site, and a living allowance will be provided. Salary will be funded on a missionary basis, and may require the development of a support team.

Digital Media Specialist

We are seeking a responsible individual to serve through photography and videography with a desire to be used by God in adventure-based ministry. This individual will be a part of our spring & summer staff team, documenting experiences and producing material to be used for promotional purposes.

Main areas of responsibility include:

- Oversee the capture of photos and videos of camp and group activities
- Produce fun promotional videos after camps and throughout the spring
- Assist in the development and maintenance of various social media outlets
- Assist and join other staff in various camp responsibilities as required

Requirements:

- Experience with photo & video editing hardware and software
- A servant heart and passion for spreading the Good News
- A desire to serve others through photography and videography
- Current "Standard First Aid" and "CPR-C" training
- Attendance at Staff Training

Compensation for this role consists of room and board during your time here. Many of our staff members, especially the long term ones raise support, and we would be happy to help you get started with that if needed. Grants may be available for current students planning to return to the school in the fall.
