Frontier Lodge is a great place to work. Not only will you gain valuable experience, make new friends and be part of an incredible staff team, but you will have a significant ministry as well.  Please note that we are a Christian camp and that we expect every staff to fully identify with our mission "to use God's Wilderness to Reach, Teach and Train Youth and Adults for Jesus Christ". A living relationship with Jesus Christ, a love for God and our campers is therefore a prerequisite.

We are currently seeking candidates for the following positions:

 

Kitchen Manager

Frontier Lodge is seeking a mature individual to fulfill the duties of Kitchen Manager, which is a full-time, year-round position. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Kitchen Manager ensures that guests and staff have an above average dining experience during their stay at Frontier Lodge.

Main areas of responsibility include:

- Overseeing the preparation of all meals
- Managing and training all kitchen staff and volunteers
- Maintaining a high standard of food quality and cleanliness
- Meal planning and the ordering of supplies

The following would be beneficial in applying for this position:

- A servant heart and passion for spreading the Good News
- A desire to serve others through food preparation
- Strong organizational skills
- Some prior kitchen experience

Food and accommodations will be available on-site for the right candidate, and a living allowance will be provided. Salary will be funded on a missionary support basis, and will require the development of a support team.

Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a responsible person, who is 18 years to fulfill the duties of Kitchen Assistant, which is a year-round or short term position. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager the Kitchen Assistant would be responsible for:

- Preparing meals
- Assisting with menu planning and food ordering
- Maintaining a high standard of food quality and kitchen cleanliness

The following would be beneficial in applying for this position:

- A desire to serve others through food preparation

Food and accommodation will be available on-site, and a living allowance will be provided. Salary will be funded on a missionary support basis, and will require the development of a support team.

Spring/Summer Program Staff

We are looking for males and females who are 18 years and up who desire to be used by God in an adventure-based ministry. Applicants must have a desire to spread the Gospel through a variety of different methods from informal teachable moments to short morning and evening devotions for campers to lifestyle evangelism. Program staff will be involved in leading cabin groups and facilitating off-site activities, as well as rotations in the kitchen, maintenance, and/or the camp office for short periods of time. We need staff for both the spring and summer seasons. A mandatory staff training is provided at the beginning of our intake periods: the last weeks of April or June.

Application deadlines are April 1 for spring staff and June 1 for summer staff, though early application is recommended.


Other Requirements:
- Current "Standard First Aid" and "CPR-C" training
- a minimum commitment of two months
- attendance at Staff Training

At this point we are unable to pay spring and summer staff but we do provide room and board. You are encouraged to raise support, and assistance can be provided for this if required.

Digital Media Specialist

We are seeking a responsible individual to serve through photography and videography with a desire to be used by God in adventure-based ministry. This individual will be a part of our spring & summer staff team, documenting experiences and producing material to be used for promotional purposes.

Main areas of responsibility include:

- Oversee the capture of photos and videos of camp and group activities
- Produce fun promotional videos after camps and throughout the spring
- Assist in the development and maintenance of various social media outlets
- Assist and join other staff in various camp responsibilities as required

Requirements:

- Experience with photo & video editing hardware and software
- A servant heart and passion for spreading the Good News
- A desire to serve others through photography and videography
- Current "Standard First Aid" and "CPR-C" training
- Attendance at Staff Training

At this point we are unable to pay spring and summer staff but we do provide room and board. You are encouraged to raise support, and we will do what we can to help you with that. Grants may be available for current students planning to return to the school in the fall.
