Regular Retreat: November 2nd-4th 2018
Come and join us for a relaxing and impactful weekend with other like-minded ladies as we seek the Lord together and experience His incredible Creation. It is so worthwhile to set time aside to be intentional with God, quiet ourselves and refocus. This is one of our favourite weekends of the year and we praise and thank the Lord in advance for how He will minister to us this weekend!
Our guest speaker this year is A.J. Rooke, and she has a passion for personal connection with God in prayer. This desire began in childhood and was amplified when God used prayer to heal her of depression in her early twenties.
A.J. grew up in the Lower Mainland of B.C., and spent much of the last 2 decades working there with women - first as a doula, then as a Registered Midwife, and finally as a Lactation Consultant. In more recent years, she’s focused her time on parenting and prayer. As part of the prayer team at Prairie College, she has the privilege of praying with people in their pain and struggles, and watching God do amazing things in their lives.
A.J. is excited about this opportunity to combine two of her favorite activities – talking to women and prayer. "In John 14:23, Jesus tells us something that fills me with awe - He says that He will make his home in those who love Him. How do we pray to a God who has made His home within us? How do we “abide” in Him and remain in His love? It’s my hope that we will all grow in intimacy with God as we learn more about how to commune in prayer with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit."
