October 27-29, 2023

This year, we plan to facilitate an annual event where men from all over can come and be reminded of what life with Christ looks like as a son of God, and a brother to others. Frontier Lodge is excited to partner with speakers from all over Alberta who have been training and disciplining men for many years. It is our hope that you will come and experience a dynamic positive change like the hundreds of men that have gone before. It is a weekend designed for one purpose, for you to experience freedom in Jesus like you may have never experienced before.

Jody Klassen is from Mayerthorpe Ab. He has been part of Sons and Brothers (formerly Band of Brothers) ministry for 18 years. He is a farmer, an elder at Mayerthorpe Baptist Church, a husband, a father to three daughters, and a grandfather to four amazing little people. He is passionate about people drawing closer to Jesus.

Ian Smith is husband to Karen, and father to two teens. He enjoys hunting, fishing and camping. Most recently, Ian has been serving in the nation of Romania with a ministry that serves ethnic Hungarians, and is working to establish a Bible camp and ministry center. Returning to Canada in late summer 2023, the Smith’s will be moving to Saskatchewan to begin pastoral ministry in a rural congregation. Ian has served for a number of years with the Sons and Brothers (formally Band of Brothers AB) leadership group.

Dan Geddert, pastor at Mirror Alliance church. Anne and I arrived in Mirror in the fall of 2021 after spending the past 5 years in Red Deer near some of our kids and grandkids. We’ve been married for nearly 40 years, have 3 adult married children, 10 grandchildren and one single young adult son.  We enjoy the outdoors, doing home improvements, reading, neighbourhood connecting, drinking coffee while reading and praying in the mornings in front of a fireplace. Pastor Dan can be found in the church office, in the community or working from home.

Mark Evans lives in Edmonton with his wife Brittany and their two young daughters, Faith and Flora. He currently works as an on-road supervisor within the municipal transit system. He has an M.Div degree from Northwest Baptist Seminary, where he also serves on the governance board. He loves serving local churches and enjoys itinerant preaching. His interests include woodworking, hunting, and jazz guitar.
